Shut up images AMD’s RX 7900 XT (Opens in a brand new tab) It revealed what seem like contact factors used with 3D chip stacking methods. Engineer Tom Wassick zoomed in on the reminiscence chips contained in the Navi 31 GPU, generally known as MCDs, and what he discovered have been small “blobs” that regarded much like these on AMD’s V-Cache CPUs.

In line with Wasik (Heb tom devices (Opens in a brand new tab)), who noticed AMD’s newest GPU with an infrared digicam, these spots may present a latent functionality within the RDNA 3 GPU that will permit AMD to stack one other chip on high of the MCD.
