The Badgers start off a busy week with a loss to Northwestern

Evanston, Illinois — That wasn’t how Wisconsin coach Greg Gard wished his staff to open a two-game highway swing, in two days, and a three-game week in six days.

UW began slowly on offense, fouled typically, and missed a number of essential free throws and the end result was a 66-63 loss to Northwestern Monday night time at Welch-Ryan Area.

“We put them in line loads within the first half and they’re a staff that achieves loads,” stated Gard. “We have been a bit of higher within the second half, however loads (errors) we made ourselves, between the fouling, the twists after which down the stretch we wanted to assault the paint.”
